Building skills, matching needs, changing lives.
There are people who want to work - many with diverse backgrounds - but face greater challenges in finding gainful employment. There are employers who want to hire while increasing diversity in their workplace, but can't find people with the skill sets they need. That's why we use our position to determine current and future skills gaps, identify people from various backgrounds who need help entering the workforce, and apply our expertise to create solutions that benefit both job seekers and employers. That's the heart of TechReach, our leading workforce development initiative.
TechReach is Manpower’s workforce development program designed to prepare unemployed and underemployed individuals for well-paying jobs in technical and technology-enabled careers. It is a nationwide, strategic initiative implemented though collaborative projects with employers, non-for-profit organizations, community colleges and all levels of government. Many people in our communities want to work, but lack the hard and soft skills businesses need. Talent shortages, combined with the specific skill sets required for in-demand jobs, have impacted recruitment and retention of new workers. Implemented through community/business partnerships, TechReach brings together the expertise of employers, community-based organizations, educational institutions, government agencies and business associations to provide career-ladder job opportunities for the unemployed and under-employed.
We feel privileged to help - and proud of the result: Candidates receive training in the skill sets that employers need most. Employers, in turn, get trained, motivated workers who can step in immediately and contribute to their businesses. Promoting opportunity. Supporting businesses. And strengthening communities.
