    Gas Measurement Analyst

    In this role as a Gas Measurement Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
    * Analyze and validate hourly meter and gas quality data electronically populated in GMAS/Sightline in order to meet daily, month-end close and allocation deadlines and requirements.
    * Interface with Measurement Technical Services, SCADA and Field Operations to troubleshoot and resolve measurement issues in a timely manner.
    * Collaboration with Production Facilitation, Production Accounting, Customer Service & Gas Scheduling in order to manage daily and monthly deadlines.
    * Provide back up and support to other Measurement Analysts as required.
    * Ensure integrity of data in GMAS/Sightline, measurement policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to.
    * Maintain and follow required daily and monthly process and procedures documentation, workstation manual and checklists.
    * Responsible for the set up and configuration of new data points in GMAS/Sightline and other downstream business functions.
    * Respond to information requests from internal & external customers regarding measurement data.
    * May include assisting with projects.
    * Monitor initial measured flows at new RP's, communicate required information to internal/external customers and activate automated process in GMAS/Sightline once flows stabilize.

    Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
    * Technical certificate or diploma in engineering or gas related field.
    * Electronic Gas Measurement, Production Accounting or Field Data Capture Experience.
    * Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
    * Minimum of 3 years gas industry experience. A minimum of 3-5 combined professional experience.

    Desired Qualifications:
    * Proven ability to identify data issues that improve daily production and measurement reporting.
    * Sound knowledge of gas measurement; ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic work environment.
    * Possesses a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when working under pressure to meet tight timelines.
    * Capable of establishing effective communications and interactions with diverse groups of people.
    * Ability to commit to the demands of a daily production/measurement data environment which supports daily and monthly deadlines.

    As a Diesel Engine Mechanic, you will carry out preventive maintenance and running repairs on locomotives and rolling stock. Utilizing your skills and Via Rail Standards, maintenance manuals and tools, determine the causes of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic defects on the locomotives and perform the repair. You will also conduct inspections and maintenance on the locomotives in compliance with VIA's preventive maintenance program in order to continually surpass Transport Canada's standards.

    The position is permanent (40 hours per week) and the work schedule may vary (day, evening, night, week-end and holidays). Candidates must be available to work any day of the week as the Maintenance Center is open 7 days a week during peak season. Shifts may start as early as 7:30 am and end as late as midnight.

    Hourly salary: $27.72 - $33.42 - depending on experience
    Evening shift differential: $0.75/H
    Night shift differential: $1.00/H

The manufacturing engineer would be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. Job Duties: •Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators. •Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. •Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. •Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. •Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. •Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. •Maintains product and company reputation by complying with all regulations. •Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
